Pamela
Epple studied
oboe with Ronald
Roseman at the Juilliard School where she received both B.M. and M.M.
degrees. Her other teachers include David Abosch, Ray Still, Richard
Killmer and Elaine Douvas. In New York, Ms. Epple was a member of the
American Composer’s Orchestra, Stamford Symphony, Paul Taylor Dance Co.
Orchestra, Musica Sacra, P.D.Q. Bach, and toured the Far East with the
Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. Festivals include Aspen, Monadnock, Angel
Fire (N.M.), Ouray (CO), Moab (UT), and Yale-in-Norfolk. Ms. Epple was
a founding member of the Aspen Woodwind Quintet and the New York
chamber music group Tafelmusik.
Currently residing in Santa Fe, NM, Ms. Epple is the
English Hornist with the Santa Fe Symphony, Principal Oboe of the San
Juan Symphony (Durango, CO), Serenata of Santa Fe, The Noisy Chamber
Orchestra, Desert Chorale, The Taos Chamber Music Group, Sangre de
Christo Chorale, and has played Solo English Horn with the Santa Fe
Opera for four seasons. As a mother of a young violinist, Pamela
maintains an active interest in string teaching techniques, as well as
involvement with her own fledgling class of oboe students. In the
summer, Ms. Epple is a guest faculty member at the Apple Hill Center
for Chamber Music in East Sullivan, New Hampshire. |
