Jeremy
Buckler, trombone, is from Dallas, Texas.
Currently he is a Masters student at Rice University where he is
studying with
David Waters. He received his Bachelors of Music in Performance last
spring at
the Oberlin Conservatory of Music where he studied with James DeSano.
This past
summer he attended the Aspen Music Festival where he studied with Per
Brevig
and worked with many well-known conductors including James Conlon,
Michael
Stern, and Leonard Slatkin. While at Oberlin he has performed with the
Oberlin
Orchestras throughout China, including Beijing and Shanghai. This past
January,
he performed with the Oberlin Orchestra in Carnegie Hall under the
baton of
Robert Spano. Most recently he was second trombone with the Youngstown
Symphony
Orchestra and was a finalist in the 2007 Lewis Van Haney Trombone
Competition.
