Darby Griggs Fegan is a native New Mexican.  He received his Bachelors in Music from the University of New Mexico and his Masters in Music from Southern Methodist University. He was the recipient of a Presser Foundation Award as well as a Meadows Dean Fellowship and the Dallas Times Herald Award. Since returning to New Mexico Mr. Fegan has served on the faculties of the University of New Mexico and New Mexico Highlands University.  He is currently the Chair of Music at Sandia Preparatory School in Albuquerque, as well as the Choir Director and Organist for Saint Michael's and All Angels Episcopal Church, also in Albuquerque.  For many years Mr. Fegan was Associate Music Director and Choir Master for Opera Southwest.  Other affiliations include guest stints as Music Director for Teatro Nuevo Mexico's Zarzuela series, Music Theater Southwest, Albuquerque Little Theater and Albuquerque Academy's Summer Stock Series.  Mr. Fegan also remains active as an in demand collaborative pianist and vocal coach.
