Clarinetist Alfredo
Lopez is a native New Mexican. He studied music at New Mexico State
University and the University of New Mexico, where he received his
Bachelors
degree in clarinet performance. Mr. Roswell performs with the Roswell
Symphony
Orchestra as principal clarinetist and Pro Musica of Santa Fe. He has
also
performed with the Roswell Symphony Chamber Music Series, the Chamber
Orchestra
of Albuquerque, New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, Opera Southwest, San
Juan
Symphony, 20th Century Unlimited, Santa Fe Symphony and El
Paso
Symphony. In the summer of 2006 he performed in a world premier with
the Santa
Fe Desert Chorale.
Alfredo devotes his time to his life passions, which include attending opera performances, cooking and going to the gym. He has been retired from his position with Social Security Services for nearly 10 years, but is employed at the Triangle Grocery Store in Cedar Crest where he works as a chef 2 days a week. A majority of his time is spent in the kitchen at his home in Cedar Crest, New Mexico. We welcome Alfredo Lopez to the Soundscapes family and hope, in earnest, that he might share his culinary genius, along with his fine clarinet playing, with us! |
